Paint the Town Green March 10, 2012
Raintree's annual gala, "Paint the Town Green" will be held on March 10, 2012. A live and silent auction will be held and music will be performed by the band, Burgundy. For information on attending this years event click here
This past year's event, held on March 26, 2011, was an incredible success. The proceeds raised were used to benefit the programs of Raintree Children and Family Services, particularly the Raintree House.
The evening began with a patron party at New Orleans' Ruth's Chris Steak House located on Fulton Street. Patrons were greeted and ushered into the 528 Room. Many delicious hor d'oeuvres from Ruth's Chris and smoked oysters from Drago's Seafood Restaurant were served.
In the theater, guests were treated to food donated by Drago's, Ernst Café, Grand Isle, GW Fins, Hubig's Pies, LaLouisiane Bakery, McKenzie's Chicken-in-a-Box, Mr. Mudbug, Piccadilly, Pigeon's Catering, and Slice Pizzeria. Gordon Biersch donated beer for the event, and Glazer provided other spirits. A silent auction was also held with many wonderful items donated by local artists, wine cellars, and shops. The live auction was a huge success, with trips to San Antonio and Orlando being offered, as well as an autographed Terrance Osborne giclees and limited edition Saints Superbowl Guitar. All who attended enjoyed an evening of dancing to the music of the band Burgundy. We would also like to thank Harrah's of New Orleans.
