The philosophy of Raintree House is to provide quality services to adolescent females between the ages of 12 to 17 years old who are in need of a therapeutic treatment program. Raintree House offers more restrictions than a foster home, but less restrictions than a residential facility or hospital. All transfers of participants are done in conjunction with the the Department of Children and Family Services.

Parents or legal guardians are encouraged to participate in the planning and treatment of each participant, unless contraindicated in the treatment plan. Participants are paired with a treatment plan at intake and the plan is updated quarterly.
Raintree House is designed to provide a safe, nurturing, consistent home for adolescent girls in need of placement outside of their homes. Our goal is to provide a complete service approach to participants and their families, and to assist the participant’s return to her family or when she becomes of age, enter into an Independent Living Program.
The Raintree House program is an eclectic use of Reality Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that are combined to help the participant take responsibility for her own behavior. Program expectations are clear and the participant is held accountable for her actions. The Cognitive Behavioral therapy approach is used to facilitate change and assist participants with making age appropriate decisions. Individual, Group, and Family counseling is provided to facilitate corrective emotional and social experiences that will lead to a more productive life.
