Get out your paint brushes! Raintree Children & Family Services held its recent Raintree Gala in two locations, Ruth’s Chris “528 Room” on Fulton Street for patrons and Harrah’s Theatre for the gala, all under the banner “Paint the Town Green.” Patrons relished hors d’oeuvres from Ruth’s Chris, as well as raw oysters from Acme Oyster House, and then the purveyance of taste treats from 13 fine eateries at the main merriment, where the Brass-a-holics entertained.

A silent auction enticed, as did the live one with its Saints/Pelicans Experience Package; artwork by in-attendance James Michalopoulos, a charter fishing trip, and jewelry from Anton Ltd. Gilded paint cans with lights and plumes springing from inside embellished the premises.

Telecom for Change, major supporters of Raintree, was honored and represented by Laura Dashney, Jerry Groves, Jen Bixby, Jean Lebourgeois, and Angie Tocco. Further notables were committee Co-chaircouples Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gilmore Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Paulin, board President Scott Howard and Janet, Raintree executive director LaShawna Schofield, auction Chairwoman Olivia Ventola, the Thomas Kitchens, John and Deborah Alciatore Empey, Wade and Carol Verges, and Dr. and Mrs. Kamran Khoobehi, the photo booth sponsors.
